DOLONNA MECUM, CMC

HONORED BY
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION

Ms. Dolonna "Loni" Mecum, CMC, City Clerk of the City of Elgin, Illinois, has been awarded designation of "Certified Municipal Clerk" (CMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) for achieving its high educational, experience and service requirements.

Ms. Mecum has served as City Clerk with the City of Elgin since June 1990. Prior to assuming this position, she worked for 21 years as a paralegal and office manager for an Elgin law firm. She is a part-time instructor in the legal secretarial program at Elgin Community College, serves on the Legal Technology Advisory Committee for the college, and is currently serving on the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce Community Improvement Awards Committee.

She attained her status as a Certified Municipal Clerk by completing the IIMC Municipal Clerks Institute Program conducted by the Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
