DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION CAPITALIZATION
GRANT PROGRAM

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs (DCCA) is offering Capitalization Grants to qualified applicants to help finance the establishment and capitalization of Development Corporations throughout the state. Development Corporations are public and bank sponsored and funded financial institutions that support economic development and serve as a source of supplemental business capital for small businesses. Each Development Corporation is locally managed according to its own operating procedures and lending criteria. Grant funds will he made available to assist emerging and established development corporations with up to $50,000 of capitalisation funds for relending to businesses for the purpose of modernisation and retooling. New emerging development corporations may use up to $5,000 of the grant funds to assist with start-up organisational costs including filing fees, attorney fees, consulting fees, accountant sen-ices, etc. Grant funds are to be matched 3:1 with new local funds, to encourage additional private sector participation.

ASSISTANT WATER DISTRIBUTION
SUPERINTENDENT

The Village of Lake Zurich is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to direct and supervise the operation of its water distribution division of the Department of Public Works. This position assists the Water Distribution Superintendent with the responsible management of the Village's ground water production, storage and distribution system, as well as providing customer sen-ice to 6000+ water accounts. STREET SUPERINTENDENT

The City of Crystal Lake (population 28,016) is accepting applications for the position of Street Superintendent. The position reports to the Director of Public Works and Engineering. I he Superintendent is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the City street system and related components; for snow and ice removal on streets and City property; for landscaping and forestry management of City properties, and for overseeing the operations of the City compost site which includes brush pick-up and leaf pick-up. Overall, the Superintendent is responsible for effective supervision and utilization of equipment, material, personnel and other resources to achieve the tasks assigned to the department. Requires a minimum of five years supervisory experience in public works, construction, or a related field. WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR

The Yorkville-Bristol Sanitary District wastewater treatment authority is seeking an individual for the position of wastewater treatment plant operator. Minimum requirements include at least 3 years experience, and/or an IEPA Class 3 wastewater treatment license. Individual must have basic knowledge, and be capable of performing process control, and NPDES analysis. Be familiar, and knowledgeable in operation and maintenance of the activated sludge treatment process. Have basic understanding, and training in safety practices applicable to day to day operations, and be willing to interface training on a continual basis. DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF

ENGINEERING INSPECTOR

Duties will involve on-site inspection of contracted construction activities for public works projects, assisting Director of Public Works in management of projects and other tasks as directed.
