Jim Edgar Gives a Tour of his Proposed Budget

SAVING HISTORY

Richard Nickel is remembered as the patron saint of the architectural preservation movement. In 1960, he picketed on behalf of Chicago's Garrick Theater, which stood on Randolph Street before it was replaced by a parking garage. As his photos show, even a dilapidated Garrick was a marvel. They All Fall Down is Richard Cahan's account of Nickel's life. See James Krohe's review essay.
