ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

INFORMATION REQUESTED

The Illinois Joint Purchasing Council (ILJPC) is a consortium of local governments located throughout Henry, Mercer and Rock Island Counties in Illinois, who work together to coordinate purchases of equipment and services to achieve cost savings for their respective jurisdictions. The ILJPC is seeking, from interested certified accounting firms, information on qualifications and experience with performing cable franchise fee compliance audits. The information will be used to assist the ILJPC in determining whether a joint audit can be performed. If the ILJPC finds that a joint audit is feasible, a Request for Proposal, that outlines the audit and specific conditions, will be sent to firms requesting that they submit an audit proposal.

PRISONER TRANSPORT VEHICLE

The Village of Matteson is soliciting bids for the sale of one 1986 Dodge Van Model B-350 with Mavron PT 300 V Prisoner Transport Van Conversion Unit; current mileage on the vehicle is 76,000 (May 2, 1995). The Village of Northbrook has an animal control vehicle for sale. This unit is a 1989 Dodge D350 pickup truck with 97,650 miles, fitted with a 1983 Mavron AT 706 S-56 RM animal transport module. The Mavron module was completely refurbished in 1989. The vehicle has a 360 CID V8 engine with automatic transmission, 4.0/4.1 axle ratio, limited slip differential. Vehicle equipment includes air conditioning, AM/FM radio, top and rear mounted emergency lights, fully functional public address system and siren. The Mavron animal transport module is heated and air conditioned, has six (6) medium size stainless steel kennels with floor grilles, inner security cage doors, storage, has built in drains for easy cleaning, and includes a loading ramp. ASSISTANT CITY ATTORNEY

The City of Urbana is seeking applications for the position of Assistant City Attorney. This position involves generally assisting the City Attorney in directing the legal affairs of the City and independently handling many and varied assignments.

This is a civil service position. The position requirements include graduation from an accredited law school and preferably two years of experience in the practice of law. Trial experience desirable.
