The Village of Barrington is accepting sealed proposals for the sale of three used plain paper copiers: (1) a Sharp Model SF8300; (2) a Sharp Model SF8500; and (3) a Ricoh Model FT5010. CITY MANAGER

The City of Collinsville (population 22,500), ten miles east of St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a City Manager. Council/Manager form of government adopted by referendum (77% for) in March 1990, and implemented in April 1991. Current City Manager leaving to accept a comparable position in Jefferson City, Missouri. Collinsville, a full-service, family oriented community, offers challenging and exciting career opportunity. PARKS & RECREATION DIRECTOR

The City of Kirksville, MO (pop. 17,152) is accepting applications for this department head position. Salary range (exclusive of benefits) is $30,156 to $39,720+, depending on qualifications and experience. Prefer BA/BS degree in parks & recreation administration or related field, and 2-4 years of work experience managing governmental service delivery, including public lands maintenance. Ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and broad knowledge of recreation philosophy, building and grounds maintenance, and airport management concepts. Duties include management of all city recreation programs including a municipal pool, ball-field complex, use of two city lakes and the neighborhood park programs. The city Parks and Recreation Director supervises the upkeep and maintenance of most public lands, seven parks, one cemetery, and various special events held throughout the year. The municipal airport is also a division of the Parks and Recreation Department.

POLICE CHIEF

The Village of LaGrange Park, population 12,861, a subur-Chicago residential community, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Chief of Police. Salary range is between $47,629 to $64,061 DOQ. The position is responsible for an annual operating budget of $1,745,000 together with 23 sworn officers and five civilian full time employees. Minimum qualifications: Candidates are required to have a degree from a four-year college or university with major course work in criminal justice, business, or public administration or a related field, preferably supplemented by advanced training at a nationally recognized police management program or achievement of a Master's degree; a thorough experience in police operations and administration including a minimum of five years experience in a supervisory capacity; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, abilities and skills. Candidates are expected to have a thorough knowledge of the principals and practices or modern police administration and police methods together with proven leadership skills and abilities as well as significant interpersonal and human relation skills. Candidates must have thorough knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and ordinances and must be able to plan, organize, direct, and motivate employees performing varied operations connected with police activities. Qualified candidates will be certified as a police officer by the Illinois Local Government Law Enforcement Officers Training Board or be certified as a police officer and obtain Illinois Certification within six months of being hired.

CHIEF OF POLICE

The Village of Riverside is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Chief of Police. The salary range for this position is $53,000 to $61,000. Riverside is a charming residential community located eleven miles west of the Chicago Loop with an estimated 1990 population of 8,774. The Riverside Police Department consists of 18 commissioned officers including a Chief of Police, two lieutenants, four sergeants and 11 police officers. In addition, the department has four full-time and two part-time civilian dispatchers. The Police Department operates under a current (1995-1996) budget of $1,540,251. Applicants for this position should possess a four-year degree in police science, police administration or a related field; a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible municipal or county law enforcement experience, including at least five years in a responsible command or administrative position; graduation from the FBI National Academy, the Southern Police Institute, or the Northwestern University Traffic Institute Staff and Command School; or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience. The City of Yorkville is seeking a qualified individual for the position of full time City Engineer. This person must have his/her registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois or the ability to achieve the same within six months of hire.
