The Village of Dunlap in Peoria County has a new village hall. The 7,200 square foot multi-purpose building houses the street, water and sewer departments. It contains a board room, offices and a community meeting room, as well as garage facilities.

The building was constructed at a cost of $322,000 from general and water revenue funds. The old village hall located at 104 North Second Street was torn down for the construction of this all-masonry building. Dr. Richard Calhoun, Village President, stressed at the dedication of the building that it was constructed with sufficient space for future needs, as this was more cost efficient than to increase space at a later date. Interior furnishings of the facility were supplied by the Illinois Department of Corrections Industries. •
