1. H.B. 342, Griesheimer. Designated Smoking Areas Act. Prohibits smoking of tobacco in any form in designated areas unless the individual in charge of the area has set aside a designated area or portion thereof as a smoking area. 2. H.B. 1539, D. L. Houlihan. Reduces the proportion of motor fuel tax funds transferred to the road fund. Allows Chicago to use its share on nonarterial residential streets and reduces slightly the share of motor fuel tax funds allocated to Department of Transportation and counties while slightly increasing share to road districts. 3. H.B. 1851, Kelly. Requires married women to obtain husband's consent and single minorwomen to obtain parent or guardian's consent before having an abortion. Also requires physician to supply certain detailed information to a woman about to be aborted. Override motion passed House 109-45 (D 65-29, R 44-16), November 4, 1975. Override motion passed Senate 36-15 (D22-8, R 14-7), November 19, 1975. P.A. 79-1126.

4. H.B. 3028, House Agriculture Committee. Creates 15-member State Fair Board, 12 appointed initially by legislative leaders and three by governor. Requires initial board to divide state into 10 State Fair Districts and provides that successor boards will consist of 10 elected members, one from each district, and five members appointed by the governor. Override motion passed House 117-35 (D 64-28, R 53-7), November 4, 1975. Override motion passed Senate 45-12 (D 24-9, R 21-3), November 20,1975. P.A. 79-1129.

5. S.B. 16, Vadalabene. Creates a separate board of trustees for Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Override motion passed Senate 38-13 (D 26-6, R 12-7), November 6, 1975. Override motion tabled in House, November 21, 1975.

6. S.B. 32, Graham. Creates a Criminal and Juvenile Justice Commission to supercede the Illinois Law Enforcement Commission which was created by executive order. Override motion passed Senate 39-13 (D 17-12, R 22-1) November 6,1975. Override motion failed in House69-84(D 41-51, R 28-33), November 21, 1975.

8. H.B. 898, Fennessey. Creates Agricultural Areas Conservation and Protection Act. Numerous recommendations made by governor. Motion to accept recommendations passed House 143-4 (D 88-1, R 55-3), November6,1975. Motion to accept recommendations failed in Senate (3/5 majority required) 33-13 (D 19-5, R 14-8), November 19, 1975.

9. S.B. 37, Rock. Creates Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975. Governor's recommendations make numerous changes in bill as originally passed. Reduction vetoes
10. H.B. 2971, Berman. Governor reduced $1,254 million appropriation to State Board of Education for apportionment and payment to school districts by $81 million to a new total of $1,173 million. Motion to restore reduction passed House 89-86 (D 70-31, R 19-55), November 5, 1975. Motion to restore reduction failed in Senate 26-32 (D 26-8, R 0-24), November 21, 1975. P.A. 79-248.

11. H.B. 2989, Hanahan. Governor reduced and item vetoed $497,824,320 appropriation to State Board of Education for administration of the board and grants-in-aid by $49,494,123 to a new total of $448,330,197. Amount of reduction veto was $35,701,403. Motion to restore reduction passed House 89-72 (D 71-25, R 18-47), November 6, 1975. Motion to restore reduction failed in Senate 24-31 (D 24-9, R 0-22), November 21,1975. P.A. 79-258.
