Appointments

Charles J. Rowe as acting director of the Department of Corrections, effective August 1, by the governor. Succeeding Allyn R. Sielaff who resigned, Rowe has been chief of administration of the department since 1973.

Robert R. Bullock as acting superintendent of the Illinois Bureau of Investigation, effective July 9, by the governor to replace Wayne A. Kerstetter who has accepted the associate directorship, Center for Studies in Criminal Justice, University of Chicago Law School.

Leo Goodman-Malamuth II as president of Governor's State University in Park Forest South, effective September 1, by the Board of Governors to succeed William Engbretson, founding president of the institution.

Marcelino Miyares of Evanston confirmed by the Senate as member of the State Board of Education on June 16.

Timothy E. Griffin of Springfield confirmed by the Senate in June for a second term as state savings and loan commissioner after the Senate Executive Appointments Committee voted to deny Griffin's confirmation.

Alfred H. Reichman of Champaign and C. B. (Bud) Nelson of Rockford confirmed by Senate for reappointment to the Illinois Commerce Commission.

C. Austin Montgomery as head of National Credit Union Administration by President Ford and confirmed by U.S. Senate. Montgomery is the former state director of financial institutions.

Francis J. Householter of Kankakee was installed as president of the Illinois State Bar Association in June.

Paul Schmierbach as regional supervisor, Division of Air Pollution Control for central Illinois by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency on July 1.
