A Note From The Editor

The Therapeutic Recreation Section did an outstanding job preparing articles for this issue. The topics are timely and varied. Even if you're not a TR professional, these articles should be of interest.

LEGISLATIVE CONFERENCE

After browsing through this issue, take a minute to study page 10. This is where you will find the registration form for IAPD's 13th Annual Legislative Conference, which will be held April 24 in Springfield at the Ramada Renaissance Hotel.

As in past years, a reception will be held at the Sangamo Club where you will have the opportunity to meet with your legislators. Many participants also make arrangements to take their legislators to dinner afterwards in order to discuss legislation affecting parks and recreation. This year's conference is not only a chance to learn the latest information on the legislative activities taking place in Springfield, but also an opportunity to make your voices heard and express your ideas and concerns to your elected officials.

Complete the registration form and mail it to IAPD by the April 17 deadline. Our proactive membership made last year's Legislative Conference a huge success with record-setting attendance. We hope you will share in the exciting activities planned for this year's program.

Until next time, happy reading.
