Northbrook Park District "Adventure Campus"
Ages: Grades K-5
Days/Times: School days 7a.m. until school begins, after school until 6:30 p.m.;
school holidays and conference days, all day activities.

Adventure Campus is offered at six elementary schools. Quiet games, snack time, study time, playground and gym activities are a few of the activities. On school holidays and conference days, special events and field trips are planned for the entire day. This program is offered for a fee and must be pre-registered. Children have opportunity to attend 3 to 4 or 5 days. A big selling point is that it is offered in the child's own school.

Oregon Park District "Extended Time"
Ages: Grades K-6
Days/Times: Mon. - Fri., 3p.m. to 6p.m. (during school year)

Extended Time (ET) is an after-school program for children of working parents. ET allows parents the comfort of knowing where their children are when they cannot he home. Reliable care is provided and includes recreational supervised activities, plays, arts and crafts, sports, movies, peer interaction, and even homework. A daily snack is also provided.

Oswegoland Park District "Kid's Connection"
Ages: 5-12
Days/Times: Mon. -Fri., 3p.m. to 6p.m.

Oswegoland's after-school program is run in cooperation with School District 308. The program is held in the elementary schools with use of the computer labs, learning centers, gym, cafeterias and playgrounds. In addition to on-site activities, the children are also given the option of field trips, hands-on science and a 4-H club held in conjunction with the after-school program.

Rockford Park District "Washington Park Community Center"
Ages: 8-14 years
Days/Times: Mon. -Fri. 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Programs at Washington Park Recreation Center include: Boy Scouts for ages 8 to 14; soccer for boys and girls; arts and crafts for teens, youths and adults; open gym basketball; double dutch jump rope; game room activities, table tennis, pool tables, table hockey and table games.

Rockford Park District/YMCA
Ages: Grades 7-8
Days/Times: Tues.-Fri., 2:15p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (West);
Mon.-Thurs., 2:15 p. m. to 4:30 p. m. (Lincoln)

This after-school program enhances the current after-school activities offered by the school while expanding the opportunities for more kids to be involved and have fun. It's designed to be a "club" in which participants can gain a feeling of belonging. The club is recreation-based and includes a game room, physical activities, special interest classes, swimming, arts and crafts, and special events. Students have a voice in the direction of the club and help organize the activities and special events.

St. Charles Park District "Baker Station"
Ages: Grades K-5
Days/Times: Mon. -Fri., 3:15 p.m to 6 p.m.

This program is offered in four locations for the students of St. Charles, with approximately 20 children at each site, coming from a total of eight schools. This fall a six-hour program from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. will be offered for morning kindergarten. The children receive a small treat, participate in gross motor activities either outside or in the gym, projects, and quiet time to work on homework or board games.

Skokie Park District "SPACE"
Ages: 5-10
Days/Times: Mon. -Fri., 2:45p.m. to 6 p.m.

SPACE (Skokie's Place for All Children in Extended care) is a before- and after-school program at five elementary school sites. The program is committed to providing children with a safe, secure, nurturing environment that encourages creativity and socialization among all.

Skokie Park District "Project Play"
Ages: 8-18
Days/Times: Mon. -Sun., 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Project Play is a free community outreach program that works to provide positive recreational activities for all of Skokie's youth. Recreational activities in parks and school sites during after school hours and evenings during the summer.

West Chicago Park District "After School Program"
Ages: Grades 1-6
Days/Times: Mon. -Fri. 2:40p.m. to 6:15p.m. (school days)
